DATA PROTECTION

1. Introduction

s.Oliver Bernd Freier GmbH & Co. KG takes the protection of personal data very seriously, and would like you to feel safe when visiting our website. As a rule, you can visit our website without needing to submit any personal data. Personal data is only collected when you supply it on your own initiative, for example when taking part in raffles, requesting services, participating in surveys or fulfilling a contract. s.Oliver and companies affiliated with s.Oliver may use this voluntarily supplied data for advertising purposes. This includes the use of data by vicarious agents and service providers commissioned by s.Oliver to operate the website in our name. Should you object to this use of your data, you may dissent for example by sending an email to info@soliver.com.

2. Validity of data protection regulations

These data protection regulations apply to the s.Oliver website and to the websites of all companies affiliated with s.Oliver. These websites may contain links to external sources not covered by our data protection regulations. We have no influence on the content of other provider websites linked from the s.Oliver website. Therefore, we can accept no guarantee or liability for such content. The respective provider or operator is invariably responsible for the content of these web pages. The linked web pages were examined for possible statutory violations and recognisable infringements at the time the links were inserted. No illegal content was recognisable at the time the links were created. However, the content of the linked pages cannot reasonably be checked on an ongoing basis unless there is concrete evidence of infringements. Should we become aware of statutory violations, the respective links will immediately be removed.

3. Confidentiality of your personal data

s.Oliver guarantees the confidentiality of your personal data by ensuring that our personnel are bound to secrecy and that our security measures are up to the latest technological standards; moreover, the company’s data protection officer and internal auditing department ensure that the data protection regulations are complied with. You may object to further usage of your data for advertising purposes by s.Oliver at any time by sending a notification to s.Oliver or emailing info@soliver.com.  We will immediately cease sending you further advertising material upon receipt of your retraction.

4. Data transmitted by browser/internet technology

Your visits to our websites are recorded. The IP address currently used by your PC, the date and time, the browser type and your PC’s operating system are recorded along with the pages called up. It is impossible to associate this data with a specific person. The data is only recorded for the purposes of data security. The data is not evaluated in any other way except for statistical purposes, in which case it is kept anonymous. Neither are any personal surf profiles or similar created or processed.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small text files sent to your computer by a web server and stored there. Our homepage www.soliver.com uses both temporary cookies which are only valid for the duration of your visit to the website and cookies which are stored on your computer for an indefinite period. You can delete the latter at any time. You can prevent the installation of the cookies by changing your browser settings accordingly; however, we must point out that, in this case, you may not be able to use all functions on this website in full. With the help of the cookies, data is collected and stored anonymously, i.e. without the possibility of tracing it back to you personally, and kept separate from your personal data; it is used for the purposes of marketing and optimisation and for statistical analysis. This data is used to create a user profile under a pseudonym. Such data is not linked with your personal data, which means that you cannot be personally identified by means of such data.

6. Use of your personal data

The personal data sent to us via a website (e.g. name, address or email address) is only used to correspond with you and only processed for the purpose for which you made the data available to us.
